I’m Carin aka Min, the designer behind Carin Grobe Design – formerly designing under the name of Deli Scraps. I enjoy my life being able to spoil a husband, a daughter, a little dog and two guinea pigs working from home.
My free time has always been filled with books and all kinds of crafts, I used to teach patchwork/quilting classes and have craft parties for children… before I was hooked by digital scrapbooking and fell utterly in love with it.
I first discovered digi-scrapping in 2006 when I was searching the net for scrapbooking supplies. One year later I started CT’ing – this turned out to become more and more challenging, because I ached to change colors and add things to the kits I worked with for my CT layouts. So I signed up for a couple of designing classes and learned a lot before I dared to put my designs out there for all to see in Summer 2009.
Toiny invited me to join the PU store at Digital Scrapbooking Studio aka theStudio in January 2010 and it has quickly become my digital home and family – it’ s such a warm and friendly place, so becoming exclusive to the Studio was only logical. I am hosting the Studio's Progressive Scrap Challenge since February 2010 and continue to be amazed at how many different beautiful pages are being created using the same papers and elements.
Even though I know life can be extremely difficult at times, I always try to find and concentrate on the happy, beautiful and fun aspects of it, I love to laugh and make others laugh and giggle with me and I think that’s a big influence in my design style. Usually I start out with a theme or event as inspiration and work from there to create happy and fun kits – some are whimsical, others are soft and classic or even vintage – and I just don’t want to give up one style for the other so you’ll find very different types of kits in my store.
