Is it Spring yet?

Is it Spring yet?

Yes, it is!!! Woohoo! Happy first day of Spring! Or was that yesterday, since 2016 is a leap year? Oh – who cares, it is definitely, officially Spring now here 😀

I love sitting on our terrace, snuggled up in a warm jacket or even with a blanket (because those first sunny days are usually still pretty chilly), enjoying the light and the sounds of nature’s re-awakening. Yesterday the birdsong was joined by a funny, crunching noise – when I curiously looked around to figure out what it was, I saw a cute little brown mouse, sitting underneath a rose bush, happily nibbling away on a peanut. I wonder where he got that, maybe from a birdfeeder? Too cute – too bad I don’t come with a build-in camera so I could show you a picture, lol.

(We’ve had this mouse – or some ancestors- living in our garden for years, he (or they, lol) luckily never come into our house, even so our terrace door is often open – maybe they’re scared of our guinea pigs? ;D

All the Springtime songs and smells did inspire me to create a happy Spring collection:

There are some add-ons to go with the kit and even a little bonus if you pick up the complete collection:

It is so good to be back to designing and right at home with the Progressive Scrap challenge.  We did experience a bit of a hiccup yesterday in the forum and the gallery but the Studio team jumped in and everything seems to be working properly now.  If you were able to upload yesterday, please check to make sure your images are still in the gallery.  A few things were lost and will need to be loaded again but this marks the final step in the new server upgrade at the Studio.  It’s been a long road but the store and forum and gallery are super speedy now.  I love that I’m at home in a store where the owner is always working to make improvements even if that means suffering temporarily through some growing pains.

I took the summer off to enjoy my family, do a bit of traveling, and rejuvenate.  My mind (and note pad) is filled with inspiration and ideas for new products.  In fact, it’s so full I’m having a hard time deciding what to start on first.  Christmas is right around the corner and I have a unique idea on the drawing board that came from a conversation with a friend.  Holiday themes and decorations have certainly changed over the years so the options for kits are endless.  I am looking for some inspirational photos to help me complete this kit.  I want to see what your holiday home looks like.  I know it’s a little early but the retailers are ready with the trees and ornaments in place and many people will spend this weekend pulling their tree from the attic or shopping for a fresh cut beauty.  I’m curious to know what your favorite ornament or decorative piece is.  Share your story in the comments and let’s see what we have in common.

We vacationed in the U.S. and visited Karen (Snickerdoodle Designs).  We had a wonderful time visiting their new home and I got to see Karen’s DIY: Plank Craft Room Wall up close and personal.  I love being able to feel the electricity of creativity and it really buzzes when Karen and I are in the same room.

MISTY COVE

I have a brand new collection in the store to kick off my Grand Re-opening.  Misty Cove is soft and gentle in subtle shades of gray and blue.  I was going for relaxing, calm and quiet.  It has a subtle feel and the Misty Cove Collection has 2 alphas and plenty of papers and elements to scrap any type of page.  It’s on sale now for only $8.

Round Robin – Round 4 – Smitten with Just So Scrappy

Hello fellow scrappers!

That title looks funny.  I’m not Smitten with Just So Scrappy – I’ve created Smitten with Just So Scrappy.  Just so we’re clear on where this is going, Smitten is the final collab in the January Round Robin Event at The Studio.  It has been fun.  There have been some amazing pages made with the 4 collabs.  You can see them all in the Round Robin Gallery but I wanted to share a few here too.

This is definitely one of my favorites!  Those huge brown eyes and puckered lips made me smile a big wide grin.  I love these candid shots.  I love how the whole focus just goes straight to that precious face.  I bet you have some of these shots too…maybe just begging to be scrapped?  Smitten was driven by Valentine’s Day which is usually about venus/mars type love but this page shows the true versatility of the kit.

The Smitten Sale will extend past the end of the month but you only have until next Tuesday to join the final Round Robin Challenge and earn up to 40% on my entire PU store (collabs are excluded).

You also have a few more days to enjoy a 50% Savings in both my Personal Use and Commercial Use Stores.

I see a pattern here of faces and I love it!

I intended to keep the post short today.  I’ll have something special for you that coordinates with Smitten this Saturday.  Until then, you can hop over the The Studio Blog and pick up this Add On.

Of course, you still have time to Round Robin with Sea Cruise, my collaboration with Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes.  The deadline for submissions is Tuesday.  That’s plenty of time.  Or maybe not.  This weekend we celebrate my mom’s birthday.  We have company and a party scheduled and I most certainly won’t be doing any scrapping but I am going to make a bit of time to shop so when the dust settles, I’ll have some new things to play with.

I did take some time out to make a cool photo frame cluster to coordinate with Sea Cruise.  It’s down below some of these older products that you may have missed.

I hope you’ll join us in the Round Robin Forum and don’t forget to post your links for an additional 10%, 20%, 30% or 40% off on next weeks new release.

I hope you have a great weekend.  Here is my parting gift as I rush to finish food and decorations.

Sea Cruise is filled with all things tropical for your ocean, beach or by the pool photos.  Complete with captains cover, ships wheel, compass, camera and a variety of flowers and ribbons to embellish your pages.

Round Robin 2 – Excuse The Mess (with Manda – Nibbles Skribbles

Hello!  Min is on vacation this week but her Round Robin – Round 2 is in the store at The Studio and ready for your very colorful pages and projects.  This week her partner is Manda aka Nibbles Skribbles and they have a real treat for you!

Clutter, dust, dishes and piles. Mess. Homes are messy places, and often the cleaning falls down the to-do list to make room for activities that are far more pleasant than cleaning and organizing. Whether you want to scrap photos of the messy situations, show off pages of the hard work you put into cleaning and organizing or simply get yourself organized – Excuse the Mess is the perfect collection for you!

Love primary colors?  Love a discount on your digital scrapbooking supplies?  You’re going to L.O.V.E. Excuse The Mess.  Be sure to take a look at the word art.  My favorite is “A clean house is a sign of a broken computer”.  I actually have a sign with that over my desk.

The Excuse The Mess Collection is on sale for $9.99 and if you participate in the Round Robin Challenge you can get a coupon for up to 40% off next weeks release.  The Excuse The Mess Page Kit and all of the extras are 30% off.
